Platform Migration for ADA Compliance
Currently our Bazaarvoice functionality (Ratings & Reviews and Questions & Answers) is not ADA compliant. New legal requirements are making it mandatory to bring this functionality up to compliance for both verizonwireless.com (B2C) and MyBiz (B2B). By migrating to Bazaarvoice’s Conversations platform we will design an accessible experience to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA compliance.
What is Conversation?
Conversations is the name of Bazaarvoice’s newest hosted platform. It leverages the latest in web technology and best practices validated through user testing and performance data. With this Conversations migration we can take advantage of increased mobile and social activity. We also will have more control over the platform so we can gain more insights on our users.
MISSION
Redesign the Rating and Review section to meet Verizon standards within Bazaarvoice’s new platform.
ACTION
We met with Bazaarvoice to understand the limitations of the new platform and it’s functionality. It was important that we made adjustments to the template within the platform to meet Verizon’s standards and improve the user experience.
Here are some examples of Bazaarvoice’s clients who use the Conversations platform and have targeted their CSS. In the Microsoft example you can see that they targeted the CSS to move the Write a Review button to be left aligned, and they have also targeted the pagination links.
